qMD: Making Medicine Fabulous

Welcome to the website of Queer MD (qMD)!  We are the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) and Allies medical student organization at the University of Virginia School of Medicine dedicated to raising awareness of topics concerning LGBT patients and medical professionals for the benefit of the community and medical education.

Please take a look around our site (currently under construction) for useful resources or to learn more about our organization and upcoming events.   We welcome and encourage everyone’s participation from students, faculty, and staff from all schools and departments of the University of Virginia and the community-at-large.  Please email us for any questions and concerns.  All emails are kept confidential.

Although this organization has members who are University of Virginia students and may have University employees associated or engaged in its activities and affairs, the organization is not a part of or an agency of the University. It is a separate and independent organization which is responsible for and manages its own activities and affairs. The University does not direct, supervise or control the organization and is not responsible for the organization’s contracts, acts or omissions.
